In the academic year 2002-2003 Jagiellonian University started offering a package of courses in natural sciences, which are taught in English. This set of courses is one of the two Interdisciplinary Programmes in English, addressed primarily to foreign students wishing to study at the Jagiellonian University for 1 or 2 semesters. The general contents of the package is well defined by its name: Modern Trends and New Concepts in Natural Sciences. Outstanding specialists are presenting selected topics which develop rapidly and have great impact on the progress of the human knowledge in general. The form of the courses (lectures, seminars, tutorials, laboratory or field classes) and their level (the lecturers are prepared to adjust the advancement to the audience experience and requirements) surely makes this unique package very attractive to the students. Even though the package is offered primarily to the foreign guests, we also strongly encourage Polish students to register and participate in the courses. This may be of special interest to the students of SMP, but all are warmly welcomed to join. Fee for one semester is 3000 USD.
